Where is Shibetsu, the homeland of salmon?

Shibetsu is in Nemuro Subprefecture, Hokkaido. Looking at a map of Hokkaido, Shibetsu is in the upper right.
Although both are in Hokkaido, Shibetsu is far - about 400km - from Sapporo.
If you are used to travel on the Japanese mainland Honshu, know that access to Shibetsu is a bit more difficult, although there are several ways to get there.
We present several routes below, so feel free to use them as a guide for your travel plans.
